Founded by two young entrepreneurs, Giuseppe Allaberlli and Andrea Pensiero in 1999, Franklin & Marshall was inspired by a vintage American 1970s Franklin & Marshall college sweatshirt they found in a London second-hand clothing store. Ardent enthusiasts of American culture, the pair set about developing a range of clothing that would immortalise their love for the USA and become a sensation not just in their home country of Italy but throughout the world. To date, Franklin & Marshall has monobrand stores in Paris, Rome, Milan and Tokyo, as well as many contracts with high-end fashion retailers internationally.
