For those of you who are involved in the construction industry or perhaps have a trade you cannot have failed to see fellow workers dressed in Snickers workwear recently. Snickers are a Swedish company who specialize in top of the range workwear for professional tradesmen who need clothing that will offer both protection from the elements as well as be comfortable to wear whilst carrying out their trade. As the owner of a hardware store I was keen to see what, if anything Snickers could offer my customers so I started to take a better look at the ranges available.
The first thing that struck me about the Snickers workwear range of clothing is that they feel different to other ranges that I have sold before, not only to the touch, they exude quality. It is obvious that Snickers workwear has its roots firmly placed in Sweden and that Swedish quality runs through every garment.

The item of workwear that I get asked for more than any other is a quality pair of work trousers that will withstand the rigours of working on a construction site, so with this in mind I thought it prudent to take a closer look at a pair of Snickers 3212 trousers.

About adidasThe vision of company founder Adolf Dassler has long become reality, and his corporate philosophy the guiding principle for successor generations. The idea was as simple as it was brilliant. Adi Dassler's aim was to provide every athlete with the best possible equipment. It all began in 1920, when Adi Dassler made his first shoes using the few materials available after the First World War. The adidas name dates back to 1948, deriving from the first two syllables of Adi Dassler's first and last name. One year later, Adi Dassler registered the Three Stripes as a trademark. After a period spanning almost 70 years, the Dassler Family withdrew from the company in 1989, and the enterprise was transformed into a corporation ("Aktiengesellschaft"). French-born Robert Louis-Dreyfus was Chairman of the Executive Board from April 1993 to March 2001. It was he who initiated adidas' flotation on the stock market in November 1995. adidas--a name that stands for competence in all sectors of sport around the globe. Today, the adidas product range extends from shoes, apparel and accessories for basketball, soccer, fitness and training to adventure, trail and golf. |
Customer Reviews
The Snickers workwear 3212 trousers are available in a wide range of colours so if you have a company uniform and have to stick to the colour of your company then there is a fair chance that there will be a colour to suit you within this range. The trousers themselves are made from a very tough DuraTwill fabric which is designed to offer extra durability where needed as well as being lightweight enough to afford comfort when being worn. You cannot help but notice how these workwear trousers feel like an everyday pair of trousers rather than a pair of workwear trousers.
Subtle features such as exterior pockets made getting things in and out of pockets much easier than in standard workwear trousers, little features such as this may mean very little to the man in the street but when you are wearing these trousers all day everyday these touches are a god send. The back pockets on the 3212 trousers are cleverly designed to expand when you sit down meaning that the contents are not directly underneath you when you sit down, handy when, if like me you are always cramming as much as possible into your pockets.
The Snickers 3212 workwear trousers also feature a cleverly placed mobile telephone pocket which is neatly angled to enable easy access, this may seem like a small feature but when you are up a ladder and wearing gloves and your phone starts ringing you need to be able to answer it with the minimum of fuss. I think this was my favourite of all the little touches that these workwear trousers feature.
The Snickers 3212 workwear trousers also feature a knee guard feature which is designed to take a specially designed kneepad to help those tradesmen who do a lot of work on their knees, such as plumbers. Anyone who has ever worn knee pads will know how cumbersome they can be and those kneepads that are not cumbersome tend to the kind that offer no protection at all. I have no idea how Snickers do it but their kneepads are lightweight enough to wear all day, and fit inside the specially designed knee pocket but still offer great protection. These kneepads were so minimal that after a while you just forget that you have them on, I can imagine that for many people that will be wonderful.
So all in all you can safely say that I was more than impressed with the overall performance of the Snickers 3212 workwear trousers and that this was one product test that did not leave me disappointed. The only downside to the whole test is that after my enthusing for the product all of my staff are now demanding that they are issued with a pair of Snickers workwear trousers as standard. How can I refuse?
